Barking Pig Farms is owned by the Hutchins family. Kenny Hutchins is a fourth generation farmer, born and raised in Prince Frederick, Maryland. Kenny and his wife, Jordan, started the meat business together and are raising their own family on the same land where Kenny grew up.
Kenny and Jordan have four children, who work just as hard as their parents. Being homeschooled, they truly get a fully immersive education into all things “farm”. When the Hutchins kids aren’t helping their parents with feeding, watering and the many other responsibilities that being a farm kid comes with; they thoroughly enjoy spending their free time playing with the animals, sneaking chickens inside, taking rides on the pigs and ponies, and creating all kinds of mischief.
Barking Pig Farm is located in Calvert County, along the Patuxent River. The farm itself has been in Kenny's family for more than 100 years but the Hutchins family has been farming in this area since the 1700s.
We raise hogs, beef cattle, sheep, turkeys, ducks and chickens without any added hormones or antibiotics. Every animal on our farm is given plenty of acreage with fresh grass and soil to root, dig, roll in. We give belly rubs and and ear scratches daily. Thanks to amazing farms that are like family, our animals get wonderful amounts of fresh produce to devour. You can truly taste the difference. Our meats are sold by the individual cut or in bulk. Sides of beef and pork can be fully customized so you get exactly what you want.
